FAQs
The commercial app
-
Commercial subcontractors working for main contractors, who want to know what every job is making while it's still live, and want the reporting to happen on its own.
-
Yes, at project level and across the business: cash flow, P&L and balance sheet. Because the data pulls through from each project automatically, you can forecast every job you've got rather than the handful someone has time for.
-
Yes, every month. It pulls through costs incurred and any pay less notices, and you adjust from there with what you know about the job.
-
The commercial side of a subcontract. Live project financials, budget tracking, applications, variations, retention, WIP, and forecasting on every project and across the business.
-
Whoever owns the commercial side of the project. Your bookkeeper works in it too, whether that's ours or yours.
-
We can integrate with most mainstream accounting software. We set up the system for you.
-
No. It's the commercial layer underneath. Your job-running software, your site systems and your accounting software all stay where they are.
-
Yes. The 15-minute call is a walkthrough, not a sales pitch.
-
That's your call. If they're staying, we work alongside them. If they're going, or you don't have one, we pick up from an agreed month and nothing stops in between.
-
No, and most don't. The app works with whoever does your books.
Bookkeeping
-
Qualified bookkeepers, working inside our app and to our process. Not a general bookkeeper learning construction accounting on your time.
-
No. Your accountant still does your year end and your statutory filing. We keep the numbers right day to day.
-
Yes. Reconciliation, project cost allocation, invoices in query, retention, monthly accounts, payroll and returns. We work out what fits on the call.
-
Your accounting software connected, your projects loaded, and our bookkeeper picks up from an agreed month. Nothing stops while we take over.
-
Yes, if you want them. Payroll, CIS (UK only), and VAT or GST returns.
-
Most are, somewhere. We'll look at where things stand on the call and agree a month to pick up from. Getting current is part of the work, not a reason not to start.
Getting Started
-
Days rather than months. Your accounting software connected, your projects loaded, your team trained.
-
We do. The data transfer, the configuration and the training. We only need the things nobody else can give us: your rates, your projects, and the data only you hold.
-
Costs already incurred need allocating to projects before the reporting is complete. We can do that for you, or your team can.
-
Yes. Set-up covers configuration and training for your team.
-
We work with commercial subcontractors in the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States.
Costs and terms
-
A one-off set-up fee and a monthly subscription per user. It depends on how many people are using it. We work it out on the call.
-
A monthly fee, based on how much you want taken on. Either a full-time bookkeeper, or a share of one, whatever you need.
-
No. Billed monthly, one month at a time, no fixed-term contract, whichever you take.
-
In your own database, separate from any other customer's.
Still got questions? We'll answer them on a call or get in touch.
We'll ask how you're running the commercial side and the books now, then take you through the app.
